# How to access serial device /dev/ttys001

Dear Qoitech,

I would like to connect Otii on my Mac to the serial device named /dev/ttys0001. Unfortunately it is not listed in the GUI. The device /dev/ttys0001 is create by socat which redirects a telnet to a pty. This would allow my to use the Segger RTT output with Otii which would be fantastic.

What can I do?

Hello Spachner

In the otii folder of your documents folder there’s a file called uart\_blacklist.json. Open this file and remove this line:

```
    "0000:0000",

```

Then restart Otii and see if that helps.
