## New feature: Shared license pool for test automation

### What does it mean?

We’ve added support for shared license pool for [Otii Automation Toolboxes](https://www.qoitech.com/automation-toolbox/), making it easier to manage test automation across multiple machines.

With this feature, you can now create a pool of licenses that are automatically shared among a group of test automation computers. This is especially useful when you have more automation servers than licenses — instead of assigning licenses to specific machines, they’re dynamically allocated as needed.

### How it works?

To ensure smooth execution, your test scripts can be configured to **wait for a license to become available** before starting a test. You need to define how long the script should wait for access to the license pool, giving you flexibility and control over test scheduling.

### How to set it up?

You need the latest SW release 3.5.5 and [Otii TCP Client for Python v1.0.11](https://pypi.org/project/otii-tcp-client/?) to set it up. Detailed steps for the setup are described in the documentation – [check it out here](https://docs.qoitech.com/user-manual/advanced-guides/using-a-license-pool?).
