is there a way to get the maximum capacity from the arc API?

Not sure what you are looking for but if it is maximum value in a channel, then you access the values by get_channel_data and then you can do statistics on the data in the channel.
If it is maximum profiled capacity of a battery, then there is no API for this but it is found in the battery profile json in [“battery”][“capacity”].
The battery profile json is found in \Documents\otii\batteries\dischargeprofiles for Windows.
