When you’re bringing up hardware or running validation, you usually just want to check a few signals live to make sure everything is working. Starting a full recording session can feel unnecessary, and the default monitor displays all channels, even if you only need a few.
With Custom Monitor in Otii 3.7, you can set up a live view that shows only the channels you care about for your current validations. Here’s how to use it:
- To open Custom Monitor, click the monitor icon in the top right of the Otii Desktop App. You can also press Ctrl-M on Windows and Ubuntu, or ⌘-M on macOS.
- Go to the Custom tab and pick just the channels you need for your current validation.
- Read your signals in real time. An immediate live view of what your hardware is doing right now.
- If you have more than one Otii instrument, you can combine channels from each one into a single view.
It’s the same tool you already use for power measurements, now with a built-in configurable multimeter mode.
