Otii Arc voltage drop powering GSM

Hi all,
I’ve a new Otii Arc and I’m trying to profile a device with a GSM module, powered with a LiSoCl2+supercap battery.

The Arc it’s powered with a programmagle power DC power supply (SPD3303X-E) at 9V@3A.

I’m trying to evaluate the power consumption of the GSM module; if I power with the battery no problems, if I use the Arc I get a voltage drop and the device reset.

Any suggestions?

Hi Luigi, welcome to the forum!

For being a power supply, Otii Arc has a very low output capacitance so you might want to add some extra capacitance as close as possible to your device.
That should solve this issue.
