Otii app crashes on Linux [SIGSEGV]

Hi,

I just installed Otii application on Linux and as soon as the app is launched, it crashes and closes.

I managed to get the following log from syslog. The crash seems to be due to a segmentation fault.

Jul 27 13:28:02 mouka kernel: [ 3349.517880] otii[16308]: segfault at 0 ip 0000000000000000 sp 00007ffed44e0be8 error 14 in otii[560372d3e000+4aa000]

I am using version 2.6.3 installed from the provided deb file.
My machine configuration (Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64 bits)

Linux mouka 4.15.0-107-generic #108~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 12 02:57:13 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I also managed to retrieve Linux crash error report:

Please note that the app works perfectly with the Arc device when using it from a Windows VM installed on the same machine.

Is this a known issue?

Hi Nabil and welcome to the forum!

Probably, this is due to your Linux Mint installation. We do not support this, the only Linux distribution we support is Ubuntu. However, I know that some are using Otii on Mint, but I do not what version.
