UART logs not displayed until recording is stopped

Hi there,

My problem is exactly as it says on the tin. I have a UART connection between an Otii Arc and a processor that has previously been working fine; UART messages have been displayed as soon as they are sent during a recording and all is well.

Recently however, UART messages aren’t displayed under the Arc UART tab until I stop a recording.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and is there a fix?

Hi Adam,

Do you remember if this behaviour changed after updating the Otii software to a specific version?

Also, in the latest versions of Otii you can enable to “Show control characters” in the log view, to see if there are some unwanted data in the log stream:

Hi Joakim,

This is the first time I’ve seen this behaviour, I’m currently running Otii 2.5.3 on Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.17763 Build 17763. Interestingly the issue appears to have disappeared today so I can’t provide steps to reproduce.

Useful to know about the control characters, I’ll keep that in mind.
