This might be that you are behind a proxy/firewall.
We are working on a solution for this.
In the meantime, you can try to update outside the proxy or download the firmware from the download page in user management on our web page. Then select your Arc and in the menu update firmware from file.

just for your information I surrounded now the proxy. thanks for the hint. Maybe an error message would be fine.
